BROKEN TUMBLER OR VASE
A USEFUL HINT.
If a tall glass vase, or oven a tumbler, is broken at the top. and it is desired to keep it, fill it with cold water up to the required height, and there tie around the vessel a piece of string soaked in paraffin or turps. Set fire to the string and the jagged, broken glass will break off. Fine sandpaper will smooth the new edge.
