INDOOR BOWLS
MASTERTON CLUB. PAIRS CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL. The Masterton Indoor Bowling Chib commenced the progressive pairs competition last week and as this is the first time this competition has been played, great interest was shown by the members.
The final of the pairs championship was decided between Buckley and Roff (s) and Jansen and Stains (s). This was a very even contest throughout and several times during the game the scores were even. On playing the last head the score board showed 20 all. Buckley and Roff won the game by the bare margin of one. In the pairs Ferns challenge game Read and Hendry (holders) lost to Norman and Fenton (challengers) by 12 to 10. The following are the only games arranged for this week: —Tuesday: 7 p.m., No. 1, I and 7 play Q and 15; No. 2, F and 4 play N and 12; 8 p.m.. No. 1. R and 14 play B and 7: No. 2, E and 3 play M and 11; 9 p.m.. No. 1. D and 9 play K and 1G: No. 2. A and 6 play Q and 13.
