ST. ANDREW SOCIETY

FORTHCOMING GATHERINGS. At last evening's meeting of the council of the Saint Andrew Society, arrangements were completed for the next monthly gathering of the society to be held in the Masonic Hall on Saturday, August 5. It was decided that the following gathering, to be held on Saturday, September 2, be made open to the public, the charges for admission for non-members to be: Men 3s, ladies 2s 6d, juveniles (under 16) Is. On that occasions, the Manawatu Scottish Society’s Pipe Band will be the guests of the Society. It is expected that the attendance will be equal to that which greeted the Wellington Caledonians on their visit a fortnight ago. It is probable that a party of Saint Andrew Society members will visit Wellington on August 12. as the guests of the Wellington Gaelic Chib.
