BRITISH PROTEST
TURNED DOWN BY JAPAN.
ELECTRIFIED BARRICADES ROUND FACTORIES.

SHANGHAI, July 13
The Japanese Army has rejected the British protest against the erection of wire barricades around three factories on July 10. The barricades will not be removed it is stated, until a satisfactory reply -is received to Japan's November Note of protest against their conduct.
