MINIATURE RIFLES WIN FOR MARTINBOROUGH. ("Times-Age" Special.) The Martinborough Club had a double win in the inter-club match fired on the Carterton range last even - ing, winning the A grade match by 11 points and the B grade contest by one point. D. J. Flynn, of the Martinborough Club, was the only shooter to register a possible, R. Taucher of the Carterton Club being extremely un-' lucky not to get his possible, registering 99 and a test for the last one. The visitors were entertained to supper afterwards and complimentary speeches made by representatives of both clubs, and cheers being exchanged. The Wairarapa Poultry, Pigeon and Cage Bird Society’s second annual show opened in the King’s Theatre, Carterton, today and will continue tonight and tomorrow. Some excellent exhibits are 1 on view, the birds coming from all the notable breeders of the North Island. Judging is being proceeded with this afternoon and the adjudicators w’ill have a difficult task ahead of them.
