A communique disclosed that Signor Mussolini himself was responsible for the expulsion of foreigners from the Tyrol. The “Giornale D’ltalia” declares that foreigners are free to remain wherever they want to elsewhere in Italy. ALLEGED ESPIONAGE OFFICIAL STATEMENT IN ROME. (Received This Day, 9.40 a.m.) ROME, July 12. It is officially stated that expulsions of Swiss from the Tyrol resulted from espionage by certain elements of the Western nations. SWISS PROTEST (Received This Day, 9.55 a.m.) BERNE, July 12. The Government has decided to protest to Italy over the Tyrol expulsions.
