Thousands of dismissal notices were sent out striking at Works Progress Administration workers tonight after President Roosevelt, despite the move within Congress to restore the union wage rate, ordered the W.P.A. I The majority of the strikers are I skilled workers who object to working 1 150 hours a month instead of 50 for the same income.
