RUGBY FOOTBALL
WIN FOR MASSEY COLLEGE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.! PALMERSTON N. July 12. Securing practically a monopoly of the ball from scrums, thus giving their speedier backs every opportunity, Massey University College beat Lincoln College in the annual Rugby match today by 19 points to nine. TARANAKI WIN. KING COUNTRY DEFEATED., NEW PLYMOUTH, July 12. Giving a much improved display, the Taranaki Rugby team boat King Country 26-15 in a bright game in Stratford today. A large attendance saw spectacular exchanges, particularly when Killeen and Sullivan spreadeagled the defence, as they did twice. King Country was no less enterprising and Crossman was a perpetual thorn in the side of Taranaki. Taranaki won largely because eight points were scored before the visitors settled down-. After that honours were more even.
