As the nation wide strike of Works Progress Administration' workers today entered a crucial stage. Bills were hurriedly introduced in Congress to restore the wage levels. The five day period of continued absence allowed on the relief works expires tonight, and tens of thousands face dismissal tomorrow.
A policeman in Minneapolis was killed and several police were injured in a riot.
