The deportation proceedings against the labour leader Harry Bridges are front page news throughout the United States. Counsel for the defence. Miss Carol King, alleged that it was a case of conspiracy against Bridges, who was a “symbol of Labour strength.” She added that testimoney had been falsely manufactured outside the Department of Labour by those trying to break the Labour movement.
