DAYLIGHT THEFT

There was a daylight hold-up in Pitt Street on Saturday 'when two men waylaid a youthful employee of city motor dealers and stole a handbag containing £450 in bank notes and money-orders. The men escaped with the money through a hotel and emerged at another entrance. They mingled with city crowds and were lost to view.
