TRUDY KING MEMORIAL FUND

(“Times-Age” Special.)

The monthly meeting of the Carterton branch of the Plunket Society was held yesterday afternoon. There were present: Mesdames Wells, Callender, Dyer, Armstrong, Robinson, Philpotts. Udy and Trapp. Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames Steel and Cundy.

Before commencing the business of the.meeting, members stood in silence as a mark of sympathy with Mrs Udy in the loss of her father.

The nurse’s report for .Tunc was as follows:—New cases, 1 breastfed; visits to homes, new cases, 4; old cases, 90; visits to rooms, adults, 100; babies, 83; children, 18; telephone calls, 32; test scales lent, twice; test feeds, 20. The secretary reported that £9 12s had so far been collected for the Truby King Memorial Fund. Mrs Wells and another member were appointed to attend the Provincial Conference to be held m Wellington on July 28.

The Dunedin branch advised that this branch’s contribution to the superannuation fund was £8 5s lOd. Accounts amounting to £29 19s 3d were passed for payment.
