ORDER OF DRUIDS
« STONEHENGE LODGE. MEETING IN MASTERTON. The fortnightly meeting of the Stonehenge Lodge of Druids was held in the Foresters’ Hall last night, the A.D.. Bro Keightley presiding over a good attendance of brethren. A considerable discussion took place on the proposed amended Hospital Scheme and the delegates were instructed to act in accordance with the resolutions passed by the lodge. One clearance was accepted on behalf of a brother of the Oroua Lodge. The 9th annual report of the Dornin ■ ion Council of Friendly Societies was read and received. A motion of sympathy to Bros J. and A. Miller in their recent bereavement was passed, the members standing in silence. The secretary reported that seventeen members had declared on the sick benefit of the lodge. Sick pay and accounts amounting to £32 19s 4d were passed for payment. One friend was proposed for membership and initiated by the A.D. assisted by his officers. An invitation to play a game of indoor bowls with the Foresters’ Lodge was accepted. Play will commenced at 8.30 p.m. on Monday next. Bros Newman and Hearle were appointed delegates to the Hospital Association's meeting to be held on July 20.
