CYCLING CLUB DANCE
ENJOYABLE GATHERING. The Masonic Hall. Masterton. was crowded last Saturday evening when the Wairarapa Amateur Cycling Club held its second dance of the season. Attended by the visiting cyclists and members of the Wellington representative hockey teams, the dance provided a fitting finish to the various sporting activities of the afternoon. Everything went with a swing under the very capable supervision of Mr Pat Ward as IVI.C. First class music was supplied by Pool's Blue River Dance Band, while the supper provided was of the best, the arrangements being in the capable hands of Miss Watt. During the evening the various trophies won in the cycling contest in the afternoon were presented to the successful riders. Between dances Master D. Davey provided much appreciated tap dance items. The novelty dances were won as follows: —First lucky .spot. Miss G. Lochore and Mr J. Leacock: Monte Carlo. Miss Merrick and Mr P. Griffin; second lucky spot. Miss E. Morris and Mr D. Oakly.
