EXPRESSION OF REGRET
KILLING OF CANADIANS IN CHINA. JAPANESE NOTE RECEIVED AT OTTAWA. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. OTTAWA. July 6. The Prime Minister announced the receipt of a Japanese Note expressing regret regarding the bombing and deaths of Canadian missionaries, the Rev Alexander Caswell and his wife, in Changteh. The Note also promises an investigation of responsibility for the bombing and reparations for damage to the mission.
