SCHOOLS’ LIBRARY

RECENT REORGANISATION SCHEME. The recently reorganised Combined Schools’ Library is now functioning most satisfactorily and books are on issue to the pupils of the several schools in the Masterton Small Farm area, which embraces, Central, West, Lansdowne. Whatman, Fernridge and Solway. The grant of £2O received from the Wellington Education Board has been expended in the purchase of new books, which have been added to the library and a committee is at present preparing a list of books to be bought with the £5O grant given by the Trust Lands Trust. Under the system now adopted, a check is taken of all books issued, and there is every prospect of the library being built up into- a most valuable educational organisation for the benefit of the children of the town.
