BUILDING SOCIETY

WORKMEN’S FRIEND NO. 2.. MEETING OF DIRECTORS. The monthly meeting of the Workmen’s Friend No 2 Building Society was held last night, Mr F. J. Hunn presiding. Also present were Messrs T. B. Braggins. A. V. Dixon. E. J. Brown, A. E. Hubbard, E. H. Morton. C. W. Walker and VI. Kemp. The secretary reported the investment of an appropriation in course of completion. The report of the valuation committee upon another security was approved. The secretary reported that the transmission of four shares, with appropriation, to the beneficiaries of a deceased member was expected to be registered shortly. Various matters regarding arrears of payments were reported upon by the secretary. The secretary was instructed to write to Mr W. H. Jackson, expressing the sympathy of the directors in his indisposition and stating that they hoped to see him at the next meeting of the board, quite recovered.
