Mrs Sperling (Denmark) defeated Miss Hardwick 6/4, 6/0. Miss A. Marble (U.S.A.) defeated Miss V. Jedrejejowska (Poland) 6/1, 6/4. Mrs S. Fabyan (U.S.A.) defeated Mme R. Mathieu (France) 6/4, 6/2. MEN’S DOUBLES. Third round. J. Borotra and J. Brugnon (France) defeated I. G. Collins and Tinkler (Britain) 4/6, 6/4, 6/4. 6/4. Mitic and F. Puncec (Yugoslavia) defeated D. C. Coombe and C. E. Maifroy (New Zealand) 7/9, 4/6, 6/4, 6/0, 6/4.
