GOLF CONTEST TYNESIDE CLUB BEATEN. ("Times-Age" Special.) lii a bogey competition played on Saturday the following were the best cards handed in:—S. Falloon, all square; E. Wrigley. 2 down; L. Donald, 2 down, and D. Falloon, 2 down. Despite the inclement conditions a very enjoyable day was spent by all who played in the Tyneside v. Bideford match played on Sunday. The scores are no indication of the play as all matches were very keenly contested and local knowledge played a large part in the success of- the, Bideford players. The final score was Bideford 12, Tyneside 4. with one match all square. The following are the details (Tyneside player being mentioned first in each case): — Fourball: O. Williams and K. McDonald beat G. Falloon and S. Falloon; N. Kummer and S. Burridge drew with C. Percy and D. Falloon; O. Sykes and W. Gillies lost to J. Donald and R. Falloon; F. Whyte and E. Williams lost to E. Wrigley and G. Rutherford; A. Juno and W. Bannister beat R. Smith and G. Joy. Singles: O. Williams beat G. Falloon; K. McDonald beat S. Falloon; N. Kummer lost to C. Percy; S. Burridge lost to D. Falloon; 0. Sykes lost to J. Donald; W. Gillies lost to R: Falloon; F. Whyte lost to E. Wrigley; A. Juno lost to G. Joy; W. Bannister lost- to R. Smith; J. Glover lost to A. Kerr.
