WOOL PRICES
INCREASE 'N AUSTRALIA. GROWERS VERY OPTIMISTIC. (By Telegraph—Press Assentation.) WELLINGTON. This Day. “Wool prices are rising and Australian growers are very optimistic about the coming season." said Mr G. R. Rennie. of Doyleston. Canterbury, who has been across at the Sydney sales, disposing of some wool he took over. He said a marked improvement was being made in Australian lamb for export, and there was no doubt Australia would become an increasingly important competitor with New Zealand in the export meat trade.
