OBITUARY

LORD MOUNT TEMPLE.

By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 9.25 a.m.) LONDON, July 3. The death has occurred of Lord Mount Temple.

Lord Mount Temple was created Baron of Lee, County of Southampton, in 1932. He served with the Grenadier Guards 1889-98; a Conservative Whip 1911-13; commanded 20th Battalion King’s Liverpool Regiment 1914-15; Parliamentary Secretary. Ministry of Transport, 1922-23; Undersecretary of State for War 1923-2-1; Minister of Transport 1924-29; chairman of Anti-Socialist Union; President of Anglo-German Fellowship; some time Chairman of Navy League and Chairman of Comrades of the Great War.
