Bonnet, receiving the German Ambassador, Herr von AVelezeck, warned him of France’s firm determination to fulfil Io the hilt her obligations to Poland. AL Bonnet emphasised that France would not tolerate any attempt to annex Danzig either from within or without. A London message states that the situation in Danzig continues to be quiet. The Poles reported that fresh supplies of war materials were landed today from a German steamer, including long-range guns, light tanks and anti-aircraft guns. Some side streets in Danzig are closed to traffic and guarded by Storm Troopers, states an independent cable message. NO CHANGE SITUATION IN DANZIG MUNITIONS STILL FILTERING IN. JOINT NOTE TO SENATE PROPOSED. LONDON, July 3. This morning’s news from Danzig states that the situation is unchanged and reports of the filtering in of additional German munitions continue. It is understood that the Commissioner for Poland in Danzig, M Chobacki, after attending conferences in Warsaw, will go to Danzig tomorrow to present a Note to the Senate protesting against the militarisation of the Free City. The Senate today issued a decree that all Danzig citizens can be called up for work regarded as important for the State. French political circles suggest that Britain, France and Poland should jointly warn the Senate against a move to transfer the city to the Reich. The Press gives the opinion that Herr Hitler does not intend a coup in the immediate future. POLISH .COMMISSIONER. UNEXPECTED RETURN FROM WARSAW. (Received This Day, 9.25 a.m.) DANZIG, July 3.
