P. & T. OFFICERS

ENTERTAINMENT OF GUILD COMMITTEE. Wairarapa members of the P. and T. Officers’ Guild entertained the management committee (Wellington) at a gathering held in the Odd Fellows Hall,' Masterton, on Saturday night. Mr M. M. Simpson, Postmaster at Masterton, presided. Representatives were present from Pahiatua, Eketahuna, Masterton, Carterton and Featherston, besides Wellington. Addresses were given by the vicepresident of the guild, Mr L. H. Steel and by the general secretary, Mr V. B. Cade. A musical programme was greatly enjoyed, the items being: Vocal solos, Messrs James Claridge, William C. Mann and Holland; violin solos. Mr S. F. Taylor; sleight of hand. Mr Ray. The accompaniments wereplayed by Mr H. Miller Hope. At the conclusion of the musical items supper was served.
