MAURICEVILLE
WEDDING OF INTEREST HARROD—JACOBSEN. (“Times-Age” Special.) A quiet but pretty wedding of considerable interest to Mauriceville residents took place on Saturday afternoon at Mauriceville when Edna May, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs E. Jacobsen, of Mauriceville, was married to Victor Ray, son of Mr and Mrs R. Harrod, of Nelson. The Rev David McNeur, Masterton, performed the ceremony, and Mrs F. W. Scherf presided at the organ. The bride, who was escorted by her father, looked charming in a green ensemble with accessories to tone. She was attended by her sister, Mrs P. Dew, as matron-of-honour, who wore a smart navy costume. Mr G. Meurk was best man. The many guests were later entertained at the residence of Mr and Mrs E. Jacobsen, where the usual toasts were honoured. Mrs Jacobsen wore a black ensemble with accessories to tone. Mr and Mrs V. R. Harrod’s future residence will be at Mt Bruce. Personal. Mr and Mrs S. Pain have returned to Mauriceville after spending a holiday in Wanganui.
