INMATES ESCAPE
FROM TRAINING FARM. MOTOR CAR MISSING. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) LEVIN, July 2. Six inmates of the Weraroa boys’ training farm absconded from the institution during the weekend. Three escaped at about 7.30 p.m. on Saturday and a further three some time shortly after eight o’clock this evening. At about 8 o’clock this morning Mrs W. Nockels. Victoria Street, Levin, reported that her motor-car had been removed from outside her residence some time on Saturday night. The car had been locked and had a full tank of benzine in readiness for a journey which Mrs Nockels intended making today. Saturday’s escapees had not been located by this evening. Levin police are making inquiries.
