LONDON QUOTATIONS BUTTER POSITION AWKWARD. HIGHER VALUES FOR CHEESE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) LONDON. July 1. The butter position is awkward as New Zealand has appreciated owing to short supplies while Australian eased. The market at present is slow. Cheese is quiet at higher values. New Zealand butter is now quoted at 119 s to 120 s a cwt., the highest point reached since February, and an advance of 5s to 6s in the last fortnight. The present price, however, is still nearly 5s below the London equivalent of the guaranteed price.
