LABOURER’S DEATH
ACCIDENT IN GRAVEL PIT. (By Telegraph—Press Association.! TAUMARUNUI, June 30. Paerangi James Topine, single, aged 24, was killed in a gravel pit this morning in Turangi. He was engaged shovelling metal into a motor-truck when it slipped back and crushed him against a bank. He was only on the job two days.
