SEAMEN IN COURT
HOLD-UP OF MOTOR-VESSEL CAPE HORN. •By Tpjpjrrao'D—Pres.« Association J CHRISTCHURCH. This Day. Twelve seamen, alleged to have been concerned in the hold-up of the mo-tor-vessel Cope Horn, at Lyttelton, were arrested early this morning and appeared in Court later. They were charged that on Jurfe 26, at Christchurch. having signed on the articles of the British ship Cape Horn, at Ncwcastle-on-Tyne, England, they were absent from their vessel without leave at the time when the vessel was due to leave Lyttelton, and refused to return to the vessel. All the men pleaded not guilty and were remanded to Monday. Bail was fixed in each case at £lOO. with two securities of £lOO, and they were ordered to report twice daily to the police.
