STOPPAGE IN NEW SOUTH WALES TWO THOUSAND MEN CEASE WORK. DISSATISFACTION WITH AWARD. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. SYDNEY, June 30. General disappointment prevails among coal miners with the new award, resulting in 2000 of the northern district miners throwing the four main pits idle today. The unions are endeavouring to induce the men to return to work on Monday pending an investigation into the position. It is expected the price of coal will be increased two or three shillings a ton when the award becomes operative on August 16.
