STOCK MARKET
FEILDING SALE. FAT SHEEP PRICES EASIER. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) FEILDING, June 30. Prices for fat sheep were slightly easier at the Feild stock sale held today. The extra heavy yarding of wethers, ewes and lambs was probably the cause of the drop in values. Exporters operated with butchers, and there was a fair clearance, though more than the usual number of passings was recorded. In no case did the price exceed 225, ’ whereas last week the best price for prime lambs was 225, and for prime wethers 22s 4d. The drop was about Is a head. The yarding of store sheep was heavy and included a large offering of breeding ewes. The demand for lambs was fairly good. Store and run cattle were forward in large numbers, and the dairy cattle yarding was medium. The dairy cattle were quality animals, and the demand was good with indications of a firming market.
