BARBICAN FIRE

DESTRUCTION OF SEVEN BUILDINGS EIGHT OTHERS DAMAGED. THREE PERSONS INJURED. (Independent Cjble Service.) (Received This Day, 12.40 p.m.) LONDON, June 28. The Barbican fire in three hours destroyed seven buildings and damaged eight others, mostly warehouses which were filled with inflammable materials. The whcle of New Zealand Avenue was destroyed. Only skeletons are standing. The damage is estimated at a million sterling. It is believed that no lives "■ere lost, but three persons were injured while escaping.
