MASTERTON COUNTY COUNCIL. NOTICE OF INTENTION TO MAKE RATES. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to and in exercise of the powers conferred on it by “The Counties’ Act, 1920,” and “The Rating Act, 1925,” and of all other powers in that behalf enabling it, that the Masterton County Council intends, at an Ordinary Meeting of the said Council, to be held in the Cquncil Chambers, Chapel Street. Mastertdn, on TUESDAY, the 11th day of July, 1939, at 2 p.m., to make and levy the following Rates for the year commenced on the Ist day of April, 1939, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1940. GENERAL RATES. A GENERAL RATE under Sections 120 and’l2l of “The Counties' Act, 1920,” on the Capital Rateable Value of all rateable property appearing on the Valuation Roll of the six respective Ridings of the County as follows: — IN THE OPAKI RIDING, a General Rate of FIFTEEN-SIXTEENTHS OF ONE PENNY (15-16 d in the Pound sterling. A SEPARATE RATE OF ONE PENNY AND ONE-SIXTH OF ONE PENNY (1 l-6d) in the Pound sterling on the Capital Rateable Value of all rateable property within the OPAKI WATER SUPPLY SEPARATE RATING DISTRICT. A SEPARATE RATE OF ONE PENNY (Id) in the Pound sterling on the Capital Rateable Value of all rateable property within the TE ORE ORE WATER SUPPLY SEPARATE RATING DISTRICT. A CONTRIBUTION EQUAL TO ONE SHILLING AND SIX PENCE (1/6) per acre (with a minimum charge of Ten Shillings (10/-) over all rateable property within the UPPER PLAIN WATER SUPPLY SEPARATE RATING DISTRICT NO. 2. SPECIAL RATES. . ALSO UNDER THE PROVISIONS of “The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926,” to collect so much as is required of each of the Annual Recurring-Special Rates levied on the Capital Rateable Value of all rateable property within the several Special Rating Districts of the County of Masterton to provide the Annual Charges on the Loans raised in the said districts. AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that all such rates shall become payable in one sum at the County Office, Chapel Street. Masterton, on the 26th day of July, 1939. Pursuant to a Resolution of the Masterton County Council, a Rebate of Five (5) pet cent will be allowed off the General Rate if all rates made and levied for the year ended March 31, 1940. are paid on or before THURSDAY, the 10th day of August, 1939.
