CANAL DISASTER
WIDE AREA INUNDATED IN BELGIUM. TEN PERSONS BELIEVED TO BE DEAD. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright.. (Received This Day. 11 a.m.) BRUSSELS, June 26. The Albert Canal burst in several places near Hassell, where the waters carried away an embankment and the land was flooded over a distance of two miles. It is believed that 10 persons are dead, including the regional public works engineer.
