Juno H In connection, with the propos-.il that America should send an expedition to the Antarctic to consolidate territorial claims, Rear-Admiral Byrd iias ’ announced that he will try to raise funds privately. The Appropriations Committee has been given details of a snow cruiser designed by the Armour Institute of Technology for an expedition. It is a large tractor-driven bus carrying a small aeroplane equipped with skis and provisioned for a year. It will have a cruising range of 5000 miles.
