SOVIET COMMENTS
PEACE PACE DISCUSSION CONSIDERATION IN BRITAIN AND FRANCE. PREPARATION OF FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day. 10.10 a.m.) RUGBY. June 2G. The Prime Minister, Mr Neville Chamberlain, in the House of Commons, slated that Britain, in consultation with France, was considering the Soviet's comments on the proposals which Sir William Seeds and M. Naggiar had submitted to M. Molotov, following upon Mr Williiam Strang’s arrival at Moscow. Lord Halifax hoped shortly to be in a position to send further instructions to Sir William Seeds. Replying to a question by Dr H. Dalton (Lab.) the Premier reiterated his view that a visit by a Minister of the Crown to Moscow would not help matters. Dr Dalton then asked: "Is it not clear that these outstanding difficulties are causing great, satisfaction in Berlin and increasing the risk of new German aggression and a general war in Europe? The Premier replied: "That may be so, and I hope it is in the minds of the Soviet also.”
