CLEARING SALE.
SPIRITED COMPETITION.
Messrs Wright Stephenson and Co.. Ltd., report as follows:—We held a clearing sale on behalf of Mr R. McGarry, at Morisons Bush yesterday. There was a very big attendance and tie sa-.e went with a swing throughout. Calving dates and butterfat records were given out as each cow was offered, and they met with very spirited competition. Several of the top cows made between £l4 and £l6, and the whole herd, including three-quar-ter-bred cows and empty cows, averaged £9 9s. Breeding sows made £5 and sow with litter £B. Horses sold from £l7. Sundries and implements made good values. A few springing heifers were offered and made up to £l3, and the five averaged just on £lo.> A few cows and heifers were sold on behalf of Mr G. T. Cole which averaged £lO 10s.
