GREYHOUND RACING
VIOLENCE AT GLASGOW MEETING TOTALISATOR OFFICES RAIDED & ROBBED. ARRESTS' MADE & FIXTURE ABANDONED. (Independent Cable Service.) (Received This Day, 9.50 a.m.) . LONDON, June 25. Dissatisfied with a race decision, the spectators at the Albion greyhound track (Glasgow) last evening raided three totalisator offices and about £3OO is missing. Later the judge’s box was stoned when the favourite stumbled in the fourth-race. The totalisator was again ransacked and ticket rolls were scattered to the wind. The fifth race was being run when a bookmaker’s stand was thrown among the dogs. Arrests were made and the meeting was abandoned.
