SOVIET SPEED=BOAT
NEW TYPE OF CRAFT PLYING ON BLACK SEA. RESEMBLES A GIGANTIC FLATFISH. (Independent Cable Service.) (Received This Day, 9.50 a.m.) LONDON, June 25. “Reynold’s News” says that a giant super speed-boat, built of a new plastic material, carrying 125 passengers and a crew of twelve, capable of a speed oi fifty miles an hour, is now plying between Black Sea ports. The craft is the result of prolonged experiments in the Soviet shipbuilding and motor industries and is known as a sea-glider. It resembles a gigantic flatfish, placed on top of two tor-pedo-shaped floats.
