ROUGH FIGHTING

ANTICIPATED IN TITLE BOUT. REQUEST BY CHAMPION’S MANAGERS. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright. NEW YORK. Juno 24. Joe Louis’s managers at Wednesday’s weigh-in will ask the Boxing Commission to allow Louis a personal physician to sit close to his corner and to instruct the referees to consult the doctor regarding the seriousness of injuries ’ before halting the bout or awarding-the title to Galento. The managers explained that they wished to forestall the possibilities of Louis being the first champion to lose his title because of cuts. They added that there was a danger of his suffering gashes from Galento’s butting and elbowing. Three important bouts have been stopped in New York this year because of gashes. Tunney today said: "I think Galento has a great chance. Remember, Louis gets confused and hurt from heavy blows to the head.”
