WOMEN’S INSTITUTE MEETING AT RONGOKOKAKO. (“Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the Rongokokako Women’s Institute was held recently, Mrs Sigvertsen presiding over a fair attendance. Visitors were present from Putara and gave a very interesting play and recitation. Competitions for. the afternoon resulted as follow: —Best worked apron, Mrs J. Payne, 1; Mrs M. Morriss, 2; Miss M. Ross. 3. Best bloom: Miss E. Sigvertsen (chrysanthemum), 1; Miss D. Nagel (geranium), 2; Miss P. Littler ( chrysanthemum), 3. A skill test was won by Mrs G. Farrow after a draw-off with five others and a musical item was won by Miss D. Gunderson. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to Mrs Hancock and Miss E. Christensen for judging the competitions. The hostesses, Mrs and Miss Nagel and Mrs Kensington, served a dainty afternoon tea. BUSH RUGBY FIXTURES DRAW FOR TOMORROW. , The following is the draw for senior and third grade Rugby teams to be played tomorrow: — Senior A: Hukanui v. Mangatainoka, at Mangatainoka, at 2.30 p.m.; Hamua v. Konini,. at Pahiatua, at 2.30 p.m. Senior B: Marima v. Eketahuna, at Marima, at 2 p.m.; Nireaha v. Pahiatua, at Pahiatua, at 1.30 p.m. Third grade: Pahiatua A v. Nireaha, at Pahiatua Recreation Ground, at 2 p.m.; Eketahuna v. Hukanui, at Eketahuna, at 2 p.m.; Mangatainoka v. Pahiatua B, at 1.30 p.m. Football Teams. The following is the Eketahuna senior team to play Marima at Marima at 2 p.m.:—Ryan, Fauvel, Norris, Carrol, Failover, Fafeita, Stone, Lobban,\ Waterus, Wairaihana, Johnston, Hausman, Ngateuri, Howden, Low, Judd. The following is the Eketahuna team to play Hukanui at Eketahuna at 2 p.m.: —Anderson, Olsen, Ryan (2), Ramsay, Evans, Braddick, Nielsen, Doney, Murphy, Steer (2), Kewley, Payne, Fafeita, Curry. FRIENDLY SOCIETIES CARD TOURNAMENT. The following are the positions of the teams in the Friendly Societies’ card tournament: —Druids, 6; Odd Fellows, 4; Firebrigade, 2; Foresters, 0. Basketball Games. The following are the results of the last series of basketball matches: — Seniors: Stars B 26 v. Mangamaire 6; Hukanui 13 v. Eketahuna 7; Stars A 20 v. Tuis 14. The following are the senior games to be played at the Drill Hall, Pahiatua, on Monday next: —Konini v. Stars B, at 6.30 p.m; Tuis v. Hukanui, at 7.30 p.m.; Mangamaire v. Eketahuna, at 8.30 p.m. Southey Cup Golf Draw. The following is the draw for the second round of the Southey Cup to be played on Saturday. Players are to be on the tee not later than 1.30 p.m.: —J.
