LABOUR PARTY DANCE
GATHERING IN Y.M.C.A. Another of the series of fortnightly dance and euchre tournaments under the auspices of the social committee of the Labour Party was held in the Y.M.C.A. Hall last evening. The in creasing popularity of these functions was ably demonstrated by the large attendance, both halls being filled. Winners of the competitions were:— Euchre, Miss Stevens and Mr Kilmis ’ ter; lucky spot, Miss Lee and MiGreen; Monte Carlo, Miss Pickett and Mr Lambourne. The competition for a tine of assorted biscuits was won by Mr Faulkner. Mr Pat Ward acted as M.C., the music being supplied by members of Barnes’s Rhythm Boys and Mr Minifir.. Supper was served by lady members of the committee.
The next of these popular functions will be held on July 6,
