COMPULSORY TRAINING
A BLENHEIM RESOLUTION. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) BLENHEIM, This Day. The Chamber of Commerce unanimously resolved that compulsory military training was essential to the adequate defence of New Zealand, in view of the virtual failure of the voluntary system. It was remarked that there whs no question that a majority of able-bodied men had failed to respond to the present call.
