SHEEP FARMERS’ PROBLEMS

MASS MEETING NEXT WEEK. A mass meeting of sheep farmers is to be held in the Social Hall, Municipal Building, next Wednesday afternoon to discuss the formation of a co-operative meat pool and also the invitation of the Prime Minister to have the guaranted price scheme extended to meat and wool. The meeting is being convened by Mr Hugh Morrison, president of the Wairarapa Provincial Executive of the Farmers’ Union and by Mr A. McDonald, president of the Wairarapa branch of the Sheep Farmers’ Association.
