The closest secrecy is being maintained here concerning subjects being discussed during British-French defence talks, which are to begin on Thursday. It is understood that the main items are the co-ordination of sea, land and air defences and joint naval patrols to guard shipping lanes carrying food supplies, a frank exchange of information regarding the disposition of forces and defences and a common use of French and British aerodromes and naval stations.
