As a result of the Simultaneous explosion of two bombs in the marketplace, recalling the incident of July 25 last year, 18 Arabs were killed and 24 injured. Crowds who rushed to the scene discovered the market-place a shambles. Broken and torn bodies were hurled considerable distances. Sleepers nearby were thrown from their beds. A Jew in a nearby street was stabbed to death a few minutes after the explosion. Troops placed a cordon round the area, closed the shops throughout the city, and brought all traffic to a standstill. A third bomb in a Jewish suburb later put out of action half the city’s telephones. ARMED ARABS KILLED. CLASH WITH BRITISH TROOPS. JERUSALEM, June 20. Members of the Black Watch Regiment killed eight armed Arabs and captured,-one in an encounter at the Mount of Temptation, Jericho.
