INDOOR BASKETBALL
CONTESTS IN MASTERTON. LAST NIGHT'S RESULTS. The following are the results of last night’s ladies' indoor basketball games:— Rovers 30, McDuffs 14. Woolworths 30. United 17. W.F.C.A. 13, Hugo and Shearers 9. Lancers 50. C. Smiths 12. The following is the position of the teams at the end of the first round: — Lancers, 16; Woolworths, 12; W.F.C.A. 12; Rovers, 10; Hugo and Shearers, 6: C. Smiths. 6; Y.M.C.A., 6; United. 4; McDuffs, 0. In the men's section practice games were played. The second round will commence next week, the ladies playing under the new rules.
