WOODERSON DENIES FALSE STATEMENTS ATTRIBUTED TO HIM UNFORTUNATE ACCIDENT BEST FORGOTTEN. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright. (Received This Day, 12.20 p.m.) PRINCETON. June 19. The English runner, S. C. Wooderson, said: “In order to clear the atmosphere of any false statements attributed to me, I would like to say in regard to Saturday’s incident that tin unfortunate accident, occurring in the heat of a race, is best forgotten.” An earlier cablegram alleged that Wooderson had said he would never race in the United States again.
