A record flight for a commercial’aircraft between Dunedin and Auckland was constituted yesterday by one of the Union Company’s Electras, via Christchurch, Wellington, Palmerston North and New Plymouth. The machine was to have left Dunedin at 8.30, but did not get away til] 10.35 and arrived in Auckland at 3.55 as against the schedule time of 3 o’clock. Rapid landings, take-offs and fuelling look 65 minutes from the scheduled time.
