INDIAN'S DEATH AFTER FALL FROM TRAIN. COMPATRIOT’S EVIDENCE. (BV Telegraph—Press Association.! TAUMARUNUT, .lune 17. Evidence that deceased had indicated to him that he had been attacked was given by an Indian, Mehr Din Akthar, ‘at an inquest in Taumarunui into the death of another Indian. Nazir Russian, who received injuries, which later proved fatal when he fell ,from a train at Horopito. nine miles from Raetihi. Witness stated that he had seen Russian in hospital after the accident and had asked him if he had been hit. Russian had nodded. Witness then asked who had attacked him. Russian had tried to tell, but witness could not understand what he said. The inquest was adjourned sine die.
