BADMINTON MATCH

WAIRARAPA v WELLINGTON. Arrangements are complete for the Wairarapa v Wellington A grade Badminton representative match to be played in the Drill hall tonight. Wellington will have a strong team in Messrs G. Pearce, Pattinson, Ridyard, Jupp, ' Lubranski, Marris and Misses Fleming, Fernie, Berry, Phillips, Denbee, Lubranski. Wairarapa should certainly extend Wellington with a team consisting of Messrs P. Hawksworth, J. J. Payton, J. Lulham, P. Martin, A. Stubbings, Dr H. M. O’Connor. and Mesdames P. Hawksworth, D. Young, Misses D. Allen. B. Pay ton, N. Rishworth and L. llosking. The standard of Badminton played should be of a high standard, as the New Zealand champion, P. Hawksworth, who holds the men's singles, men's doubles (with G. Pearce), and combined doubles title (with Mrs Hawksworth). Mrs Hawks-worth, who holds the ladies doubles title. . Miss Fleming (national singles title-hold-er), and G. A. Pearce. J. J. Pay-ton. Miss Fernie and Ridyard will be seen in action. Suitable seating accommodation has been arranged. As the space is restricted probably only one court will be used, and seats will be placed on the other court, giving those present a good view of the games. A silver collection will be taken up at the door.
